Match the person through the UDC offender number, legal status, sentencing court, case number, and available identifying data. The public offender search is limited to people currently under UDC supervision. A fully discharged person may disappear, so a written UDC GRAMA request is the fallback for the underlying prison photograph or release document. Ask for the exact item and date range rather than an open-ended file.
UDC’s image also cannot establish release by itself. Compare it with the Board order for parole authority and the UDC release, termination, or expiration record for the custody result.
Kane County Mugshot Nonpublication Policy
Kane County’s actual web posture is nonpublication on the reviewed jail and inmate-information pages. The jail confirms that a photograph is taken during booking, but it offers no public image roster, released-person gallery, or search field. Web absence does not mean the agency destroyed the record. Official retention follows approved schedules, while disclosure still depends on GRAMA and the booking-photo law.
This local arrangement makes a narrow request more reliable than a general web search. Ask for one booking, provide an accurate date range, and include the signed statement. If the agency denies or redacts the photo, the response should identify the classification and review path. The public status of some booking facts does not automatically overcome a protected-photo classification.
Verify Kane County Mugshot Copies
An official arrest or incident release may include a supplied image. That proves the agency published the photo with that incident. It does not prove a later release, conviction, dismissal, or sentence completion. Section 17-72-802 supplies a separate private-site remedy for publish-for-pay images. An ordinary subject request triggers removal or destruction within 30 calendar days, and the fee may not exceed $50. When the case ended in acquittal or nonprosecution, or the matter was expunged, vacated, or pardoned, a person who supplies proof can invoke a seven-day removal and destruction duty without payment. Statutory costs and civil penalties may apply for noncompliance.
These removal rights do not make a private image page an official release source. For a government-record correction, contact the agency that created the record and provide the order or identity proof. For a wrongly linked private copy, provide the publisher with the correct booking data and disposition. Confirm Kane County Photo Identity
Before accepting a photo, verify the full agency name, state, booking date, and record number. Then check whether the image represents Kane County Jail, a UDC prison record, or another jurisdiction. One person can have more than one image from different events, and a UDC photograph may postdate the Kane booking.
Finish with the legal record. The court docket supplies the disposition, sentence, and release authority. The jail or UDC movement record supplies the actual departure or transfer.
